Thank you for using Mx. Desk.

After careful consideration, I have made the difficult decision to shut down the Mx. Desk coworking billing service. This service used to be called Desktime, which renamed itself to Deskpass in 2016, and we've been running the service as Mx. Desk since after our coworking space in Buffalo spun down. With the small volume of customers and large volume of work, I've decided it's time to move on from this project.

Frequently Asked Questions

When exactly will Mx. Desk shut down?
Mx. Desk has ceased operations on June 1, 2025. All services will be discontinued after this date.
What about my final billing?
On May 31, 2025, I will be disconnecting Stripe Connect, which will disallow Mx. Desk from managing any future subscriptions, invoices, or charges going forward. You will need to sign into your Stripe dashboard to get access to all payment information for your coworking members. Your members and subscriptions will remain active, but you will need to manage them directly through Stripe.
Will you recommend alternative services?
Yes, I want to help make your transition as smooth as possible. Here are some excellent alternatives for coworking space billing and management:

Recommended Alternatives:

  • Stripe - You're already using Stripe to process payments through Mx. Desk/Desktime, so you can use their dashboard directly to manage those subscriptions. In fact, all of your members' subscription data and cards will be there, so it should be the easiest option!
  • Cobot - Popular for its user-friendly interface and extensive billing features. Their support team is highly responsive and the platform is known for reliability.
  • Optix - Stands out for its automated workflows and mobile-first approach, allowing you to save significant time on repetitive tasks.
  • Spacebring - Features strong automated billing and payment collection with an intuitive user interface and responsive customer support.
Can I get help migrating to a new service?
While I cannot directly migrate your data to other services, I'm happy to provide guidance and answer questions about your current setup. Most alternative services offer migration assistance and support teams to help with the transition.
Can I still access my data?
If you require any data from Mx. Desk, please contact me at support@mxdesk.com and I will be happy to help you export the data you need.
